The Hollow Bottom competed in the annual "Cotswolds Best Bloody Mary Competition" and this year brought home the prestigious trophy. Keith Rayner and Katie Whitnall who represented The Hollow Bottom were delighted at their success and so are we! Why not come and sample their winning recipe?
Winners of the "Best Pub Food" Category in the 2011/12 "Taste of Gloucestershire's Food & Farming Awards"
The best of Gloucestershire’s food and drinks industry were celebrated at the inaugural Taste of Gloucestershire Food and Farming Awards.
Dozens of the county’s best food businesses, including farms, drink producers, breweries and cafes were shortlisted for 13 awards which were presented at Cheltenham Racecourse. The Hollow Bottom came out on top in the highly contested "Best Pub Food" Category.

This 17th Century pub is nestled deep in the ‘hollow’ of Guiting Power, a picturesque village right in the heart of the Cotswolds.
This quaint old stone pub has a wide mix of customers - young and old, unknown and famous, the latter including jockeys, trainers and racing commentators. The relaxed and informal beamed bar has plenty of atmosphere, lots of racing memorabilia including racing silks, tunics and photographs and articles that you can peruse for hours and a winter log fire to complete this idyllic picture. The public bar is also equipped with newspapers, darts, board games and always has racing on the TV - what more could you want!!
An equal welcome will await all those who are kind enough to pass through our doors. With it’s relaxed atmosphere and emphasis on friendly, first rate service The Hollow Bottom is the perfect place to be, whether you have in mind a quiet drink, morning coffee, an intimate dinner or a full blown party.
There are tables out the front of the pub for those sunny days and a lovely beer garden out the back complete with childrens play area. We have a separate dining room from the bar or you can eat in the bar itself.
We serve food all day and our roast carvery on Sunday’s are generally booked out in advance.
